This course is appropriate for individuals who have completed Year 1 training and would like to complete training in the Brightwire Reading and Spelling program. This includes interventionists trained in other programs, licensed teachers, SLPs, and parents.

This is an online and in-person course that includes the following components:

• 5 hours of online instruction in dyslexia, structured literacy, comprehension strategies, and other topics

• 5 hours of online instruction in the Brightwire Reading and Spelling program

• 2-day in-person workshop

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive the following:

• 1 complete set of materials for Year 2, including teacher manuals, charts, word sort decks, reading decks, spelling cards, student manuals

• Access to online resources

• Certificate of Completion

• Provisional license to teach up to 5 students at a time using Brightwire materials

Additional requirements for Full-use license of Brightwire Reading and Spelling Program

• Completion of 2 demonstration lessons

• Completion of 300 tutoring hours in the Brightwire program

• Two curriculum completions

Full-use license of Brightwire Reading and Spelling Program allows the individual to tutor an unlimited number of students and supervise other provisionally licensed users.
